With the patented Frager Facade system, Frager introduced a new standard in facade technology in 2022. This magnetic system allows facade panels to be mounted in a circular, fast and aesthetically sleek manner. "We have now been able to realize several beautiful projects. The minimalist style makes the system attractive for both new construction and renovation projects," says general manager Franck De Munster.
Frager Facade works on the basis of the Magnetude© system, in which facade panels are attached to a special facade profile using magnets. Glue, screws or silicone are no longer needed, which greatly simplifies both the installation process and flexibility. The panels are easily replaced and recycled, without the need for specialized tradesmen. "This allows adjustments to be made or minor damages to be repaired, which contributes to the sustainability of the system," De Munster said.
The installation process is simple: gable frames are fixed to the wall and form the basic structure. Inset aluminum shadow joints, baseboards or corners are slid into the facade profile. The facade panels are then magnetically attached. "The architect has complete freedom in designing an aluminum cladding," De Munster emphasizes. "The combination of flat aluminum panels with embedded shadow joints and tight corner solutions allows for a contemporary and minimalist design."
Since the system's launch, Frager Facade has already been used to complete numerous projects ranging from modern homes to commercial properties.
In Wielsbeke, the Frager Facade system was applied to a residential house, clad not only the front door and facade, but also two sectional doors. De Munster proudly explains, "The result is a sleek, uniform cladding that is terminated on the side with vertical LED lighting. This lighting marks the separation between white concrete and black cladding and gives the whole thing an elegant look. The architect and residents are extremely pleased, in part because of the ability to easily replace panels as needed."
The corporate sector is also embracing Frager Facade. The Belfius Private Banking office in Beveren deliberately chose this facade because of its robust and sleek appearance. The bank's logo has been subtly incorporated into the facade by milling in three horizontal lines. De Munster explains, "During the day the logo looks subtle, but at night the lighting ensures that the logo is clearly visible. This interaction between day and night fits perfectly with the identity of the office."
In Waregem, the Frager Facade system was combined with lighting to illuminate a dark corner along a home. The vertical stripes in the cladding serve as a guide to the back door and create a safe and illuminated path at night. De Munster emphasizes, "This shows how Frager Facade goes beyond cladding. By integrating LED lighting, we offer not only aesthetic but also functional solutions."
The Frager Facade system has now also found its way into the Dutch renovation market. Here, the facade cladding is regularly used to fill the space between new windows in a color that matches the window frames. This creates a contemporary and minimalist look.
