Doors with character. Green and personalized

Harinck's Frager doors offer an enormous variety of choices. Modern or classic, fully glazed or not, Harinck has been manufacturing durable, safe and high-quality front, entrance and exterior doors in plastic and aluminum for 40 years. The latest models stand for green and personalized.

Greening, cooling and dedusting

The new Florager is now completely finished. "We would like to contribute to the greening of the environment with this. In Ghent, there is a project where the Facade Garden Brigade helps people cool the city through vegetation. Stones along the façade are knocked out and the freed space is planted. In a city, however, there is quite little space for this, because the facade consists largely of a door and a window."

Harinck therefore created a door that is allowed to be overgrown. "The door is made of Corten steel that rusts naturally. Ivy and other climbing plants can grow along the doorway. This way we contribute to cooling the city and filtering fine dust in the air. Finally, this should give more oxygen to the city. Hopefully other cities will follow Ghent's example."

Show who you are

The second new model is called Vitrine, and originated in the corona era. "People then placed bears in front of their windows, they provided connection with people in the street. A very nice thought." De Munster noticed how diverse those bears were and the other things that could be seen through windows. "When you walk past a house you can often tell which people live there. People like to profile themselves and we want to encourage that even more with the Showcase." In the door is an opening window to a small showcase, where residents can display something. Harinck initially chose the famous Tintin Rocket. "We also invite our employees to put something in the door for a week, that way we get to know them even better."

Now that Polyclose could not go ahead, Harinck is introducing the new doors through a mailing. Of course, the showroom is also open to all interested parties. "We notice that there is a lot of eagerness to come to the showroom again. However, we do like to continue working by appointment, so that we can really take the time for our customers." The door specialist likes to think along, often using a construction drawing or photos. "Because of our comprehensive advice, people actually go home satisfied."

"What is new now will no longer be so in September," says De Munster. "So at the fall edition of Polyclose, we will be breaking out with something new. We are working on a front door that uses different natural materials. Copper, stone, brass, ceramics and wood all come back in a patchwork. The models can only be realized thanks to the unsurpassed Magnitude system, the unique solution for wing-covered doors."
