Gray, red or green: wooden facades in fifteen new colors

Pre-grayed wood facades: they have become part of the street scene. The pre-grayed look has therefore been an integral part of contemporary architecture for years. The Austrian wood protection specialist ADLER pioneered this coating technique and brought Pullex Silverwood, the first and still most popular graying glaze, to market more than 20 years ago. This glaze sidesteps the natural aging process and ensures that wood ages evenly. Lignovit Platin, ADLER's metallic-look glaze, is also still very popular. This product is now available in as many as fifteen new colors.

Boundless gray

Meanwhile, wooden facades - regardless of which wood species or texture - can be protected in many different ways. In addition to solvent-based products, there are now many water-based products on the market for this purpose. In addition, customers can choose from numerous looks. Pre-graying with ADLER products knows no limits, whether in terms of intensity or color: From bright radiant silver to dark smoky brown, anything is possible.

Fifteen new trend colors

The street scene is now increasingly dominated by colored facades. More and more architects and planners not only want to protect wooden facades well, but also to provide them with a unique look - and want to distinguish themselves here with special use of color. You ask, we turn: ADLER has now developed fifteen new trend colors for Lignovit Platin, the popular metallic-effect glaze. So the glaze is now available in even more colors - from sunny, warm Nazca gold to fiery Thulit red and earthy Mojave green. "With their light gray undertones, the Lignovit Platin trend colors not only provide a particularly beautiful, metallic shiny look, but also have a much better resistance than conventional colored glazes thanks to the special particles that reflect UV light," says Leon Cremers, director of ADLER Benelux in Heeze.

Very good weather resistance

In developing the new trend colors, ADLER placed particular importance on very good weather resistance and uniform weathering. In addition, today the surface of a wooden façade is no longer completely "covered" by the paint, but rather the natural beauty of the wood is emphasized. When using Lignovit Platin, the wood structure therefore remains clearly visible.
