The natural beauty of wood

Bos continues: "WoodCream is not a traditional paint or lacquer product, but an innovative wax-based cream with a hydrophobic character. The unique and active self-cleaning formula intensively nourishes the wood, preserves the breathable structure and makes the surface water repellent. As a result, the product will not flake off." In addition, the product's beading effect increases the durability of the wood and slows the growth of algae and mosses. "Because WoodCream penetrates deep into the wood but is water vapor-permeable, it increases the insulation value of the wood."

Easy application and low consumption

Because of its cream texture, Rubio WoodCream is easy to apply with a block brush without dripping, on both new and previously treated wood. "The product is extremely suitable for soft woods. Also, you only need to apply one or two coats, you don't need masking tape and you can easily apply it overhead. Because of its cream structure, it therefore does not drip. In addition, depending on the absorbency of the substrate, consumption is only 50 to 80 g/m² per coat. After 30 minutes the product is already hand-dry and in total the drying time is about 12 hours. Are you working with a second coat? Then you can apply it after only three hours, because a pearl effect is already present from then on."

Rubio has developed three beautiful color collections for WoodCream at the Rubio Lab: The Traditional Collection, The Grey Collection and The Scandinavian Collection. In total, these collections contain 27 colors, whose color intensity can be reduced with the Rubio WoodCream Softener. "The chosen color is retained for between 5 and 10 years," says Rubio.

WoodCream at the Zutphen Timber Trade

One user of WoodCream is Zutphen Timber Trade, which also sells the product. "We chose a new wooden facade, but were not satisfied with the color of the wood. So we chose WoodCream in Gravel Grey to treat the wood," says owner Silvia van den Brand. "The result is an amazingly beautiful one. We get a lot of positive feedback on our facade." 

The company now also paints other wood - which was red before - the same color. "Here we apply two coats, but we are also very satisfied with this. Using WoodCream also facilitates the sale of the product, because our customers can see what results it produces."
