More focus on designer fixtures

Klemko Techniek is known as a specialist in the dynamic LED lighting market. With its Lumiko brand, the company supplies LED spotlights and LED strips that don't look out of place in luxury homes, but lighting control and connection technology are just as important to Klemko. "We can offer the whole breadth of the range," says account manager Danny Miac.

As a manufacturer, Klemko is constantly improving and developing its products. "We also do this in consultation with our clients, such as Hermes Garden Houses. This company specializes in beautiful insulated canopies and was looking for lighting with specific properties. For example, they had to be low-voltage spotlights that can be built in shallowly, to reduce the loss of insulation value."

No wire pulling and easy installation

Klemko already supplied these luminaires, but over the years the partnership with Hermes has also led to new developments. "Together with them, we came up with our Lumiko Easy lighting solution. This wireless smart home protocol makes installations simpler, more flexible and aesthetically pleasing." This, according to Miac, makes the lighting solution ideally suited for garden homes, where traditional wiring and installation methods are often difficult. "The drivers of the Lumiko Easy system can be integrated into the structure without the installer having to pull wires. The system is wirelessly controllable, and so are wall switches that are easily glued to the wall."

Because Lumiko Easy is so easy to install, Hermes' technicians can do it themselves. In addition, all other Klemko customers also benefit from the wireless smart home protocol. "Recently Hermes completed one of their largest garden houses to date," says Miac. "Our products were also used this time. Here the company chose the Venice spotlight, with an additional leakage current filter due to the large amount of metal used in the garden houses. The Venice is a small spotlight with a very large lumen output and a unique light display; we are very proud of this." If needed, Lumiko's products can also communicate with well-known smart home protocols, such as Zigbee, Casambi and Z-wave.

Klemko present again this year at Future . "This is really where people from the lighting world come, such as lighting designers, architects and consultants. We really like that. Last year we showed our more general offering, but this year the focus is on designer spots, LED strips and Smart Home solutions. Spots such as Venice, Piran and Palermo are ideally suited to more luxurious homes as well, and we are keen to show that. In addition, several new products, such as LED spots, fixtures, LED drivers and sensors, will be launched at the end of this year."
