Tough designer flooring with a lively and warm touch

Arturo Mistral is the result of a growing market desire. "Many architects and end users in particular needed a robust mineral casting floor that not only looks tough, but is also lively and warm," says Daphne de Vos, Marketing Specialist Arturo at UZIN UTZ Netherlands. "Our R&D department, together with Product Management, got to work on this and developed a new PU cast floor that complements our existing range very well. Arturo Mistral is a true design floor with an authentic and durable character. The characteristic mineral look has been achieved by replacing a fossil raw material with a recycled and organic material. The result is a very natural look with a special robust touch."

De Vos describes this touch as a concrete look, in which two colors come together and create a unique pattern. "In close collaboration with our designer Thea Kruders, we selected twelve natural colors from our Color Collection 3.0, which honor the identity of the organic raw material and naturally add light and air to the space." As an example, she cites the trend colors Calm Breeze, Mixed Clay and Frozen Cosmos.

Suitable for the residential and project market

Arturo Mistral is particularly suitable for light to medium use. This includes not only homes and offices, but also, for example, stores, restaurants, health centers and schools, says De Vos. "The PU cast floor is part of a complete system, including Arturo EP6600 Primer, Arturo PU6000 Scraper Coat/Crack-bridging membrane and Arturo PU7310 Topcoat and is therefore also ideally suited for projects. Indeed, it is one of the strongest systems we currently have in our range! Not for nothing do we use the name to refer to the famous 'masterful' and impactful mistral wind in eastern France."

Arturo Mistral is seamless, liquid-proof, highly UV-stable, low-emission, solvent-free and easy and light to apply. Also in combination with underfloor heating. "The complete flooring system can be applied in just four days," says De Vos. "After curing, users are assured of high walking comfort. The floor is also permanently elastic and thus sound-absorbing, which makes it perfect for buildings with multiple users." 

Great interest

At Arturo, healthy and safe working is of paramount importance. Arturo Mistral is therefore low emission and has already achieved the strict AgBB and BREEAM certification for this. The new flooring system was officially introduced to the market at the end of March and can already count on great interest. Both from architects, end users and processors, who are eager to see and feel the product. "For this reason, we have also developed a sample set for showrooms," says De Vos. "And smaller samples are also available on request." Arturo Mistral has now been used in several homes, showrooms and offices, she says. "We expect other applications to follow soon."
