A concrete-look kitchen in no time at all

A kitchen in concrete look in no time at all

From coarse to fine: anything is possible

Concrete is booming! Whether it's a concrete wall, a concrete floor or even concrete accessories, more and more architects and designers love the raw, minimalist effect of this versatile building material. The rugged concrete look is also popular in kitchens. However, processing concrete can be tricky. The Austrian paint and lacquer manufacturer ADLER has therefore developed Betoneffekt, a coating with which wooden surfaces can be given a concrete look in no time - even in kitchens.

ADLER Betoneffekt should be applied wet in wet with a trowel. Doing this interchangeably in all directions creates a characteristic concrete look. The coating must then dry overnight. Then the surface should be sanded, after which it can be finished with a lightfast furniture lacquer with a low gloss level. This can be done, for example, with ADLER PUR-Antiscratch G5. This gives the surface the desired resistance. This creates a particularly robust surface to match the concrete look.

No limits to creativity

The concrete look can be completely customized to the customer's requirements. For example, by varying the sanding intensity, the feel and look of the concrete surface can be refined as desired. From coarse to fine: everything is possible. Also by varying the amount of coating on the trowel, one can influence the final result. ADLER Betoneffekt is also available in different color shades: from the almost black "Cuba Libre" and the gray tones "Caipirinha", "Daiquiri" and "White Lady" to the red-brown "Bahama Mama".
