When developing a new project, obviously, safety and design are important. Vetrotech focuses on both aspects by offering innovative glass solutions. The new Vetrotech Solutions Selector makes it easy to find the right glazing for any project.
"For an architect, it is important to know what possibilities and limitations there are when it comes to glazing," begins sales manager Ruud van der Sterren. "We therefore offer low-threshold support and ensure that architects have easy access to reports, containing all the information they need."
Van der Sterren: "By offering this support, the glazing can already be included in the specifications, so that we can realize the project with other parties." Previously, Vetrotech offered information through the website testreports.nl. This contained test reports of fire-resistant glass.
"Now we have taken another step, with the introduction of the Vetrotech Solutions Selector, part of the Saint-Gobain portal Calumen. This online tool allows architects, contractors, and others involved in the construction industry to choose the right glass solution for their specific project. The tool is easy to use and allows users to search based on various criteria, such as 'fire rating', 'burglar resistance', 'dimensions', 'tested system' and 'application'."
Van der Sterren continues: "Professionals can also create their own glass compositions. Then all the values of this combination are displayed. This way, an architect immediately knows whether the glass, in combination with the chosen profile, meets all his requirements. In addition, the tool can render images to visualize the entire project."
Summaries of test reports, with more detailed information, are available to substantiate the features of the choice made. "We are pleased that all information can now be found under one roof. In addition to fire-resistant glass, we will also include safety glass under the same tool. However, we are not that far down the road yet."
All building professionals, regardless of their level of expertise can create an account on Calumen.com and then start a new project. "The tool is the perfect tool to find the right glass, for architectural projects of any size."
Its history goes back to 1884 and the Swiss family company Giesbrecht Glas. In 1980, members of this family start the company Vetrotech. In 1995, Saint-Gobain takes over Vetrotech. Glass products are produced worldwide, including in Germany, Switzerland and Poland. A wide range of products, including fire-resistant and burglar- and bulletproof glazing, is an essential part of the complete product range.
