For those who want a real ‘cooling wall
The premium built-in kitchen requires top quality in terms of design and technology. SKS therefore focuses on the development of built-in appliances that are no longer merely functional objects but an integral part of a spatial design. Bringing technology and architecture together, that is what SKS is all about.
The premise of SKS, in full Signature Kitchen Suite and established as part of the LG Electronics group in 2017, is clear: kitchen appliances should blend seamlessly into the design of the space. With clean lines, fully integrable solutions and a modular approach, SKS lives up to this ambition. At the same time, the brand pays very close attention to advanced technology, such as precise temperature control and innovative food preservation systems.

Anyone looking at SKS's product range will immediately see its clear penchant for all things refrigeration. The French Door 36” refrigerator is perhaps the flagship in the range. The appliance consists of three compartments: a refrigerator section with double doors at the top, a freezer drawer at the bottom and, in the center, a convertible compartment with different possible temperature settings for storing different possible ingredients. The integrated water dispenser and True-Illumination™ LED lighting system enhance the minimalist interior appearance of the appliance. The use of glass and stainless steel inside also gives the interior a professional look. Designers get a panel-ready model with the French Door 36”, which means the appliance can be fully integrated into the kitchen cabinetry, maintaining a sleek front image.

Those who have less living space, and therefore less kitchen space, available, look for more compact solutions. The undercounter refrigerator with two drawers, namely one refrigerator drawer and one fully convertible drawer, is the solution developed by SKS. The very precise temperature control makes the set temperature and the actual temperature in the drawer deviate only 0.5°C from each other. Six temperature settings are possible which only increases the flexibility in terms of applications. In addition to the kitchen, SKS also sees possibilities for applications in bars, living areas and even bathrooms because cosmetics and pharmaceutical products can also be stored in this base-mounted version.
Architects who want to create complete cooling walls will find an ideal ally in the column refrigerators and freezers from SKS. Available in various widths (24” and 30” for the column refrigerators and 18” and 24” for the freezers), they combine beautifully to create an architectural composition in the kitchen. The column refrigerators offer ample storage capacity and flexible layout with adjustable glass shelves and removable drawers while a user-friendly control panel allows for monitoring the unit, checking water filter status and adjusting settings, if desired. The freezer columns feature advanced technology that ensures an extremely stable temperature.

For Wouter van den Boogaard of American Appliances, exclusive importer of SKS in the Netherlands, the added value of SKS built-in refrigeration appliances lies in their use as a building block in kitchen architecture: “Modular configurations and high-quality finishes create a visual tranquility that perfectly matches what consumers are looking for today.” The technology disappears somewhat from view on the one hand, but at the same time it becomes more intelligent and precise. Wouter: “The result? A space where design, comfort and functionality come together in perfect balance.”
