"I have been working in project design since 1997," explains Martijn Reijman Hinze. Together with Arjan Pasteuning, he owns Projectchair. "We know each other from the project industry, and have done several projects in recent years. Together we decided to start working as a supplier/distributor of office and project seating. We also develop chairs and office furniture, in cooperation with our production partners."
When Projectchair came on the trail of the Workspace Design Show, the company was positively surprised by the organization's vision.
"It's a fairly new and fresh concept, completely focused on our industry. An event like this did not yet exist in the Netherlands. It is interesting that visitors at the fair can share knowledge and information with each other about the world of workspace. There is a lot to talk about! Offices are going to look different because of, among other things, remote working. We would like to find a balance between working in the office and at home. Then, of course, we need furniture that fits this. Monitor work will continue and good seating is extremely important. With hybrid working, the PC-V14 offers the ideal solution for this, because it is a dynamic and multi-purpose chair that also looks nice."
To design new products, Martijn and Arjan sought out talented European designers. "This is how we ended up with the designer Martin Ballendat. He is a well-known designer of products for project design and has already realized products for more than 40 companies. With this, his company has already won several awards."
His design of PC-V14 focuses on simplicity of appearance and operation. The chair has a plastic frame and is available in nine fresh colors. An upholstered seat, armrests connected to the frame and a perforation pattern in the backrest give the chair flexibility and character. The PU casters are suitable for hard and soft floor surfaces. "The chair is simple in appearance and operation and multifunctional, both for home work and/or at a meeting place. You can easily pull it in. And, it also looks nice. Thanks to the flexibility of the frame, sitting is dynamic and you feel supported."
The expert jury of the Red Dot Design Award also saw the advantages of the PC-V14 and rewarded the design with the Red Dot award, because of the simplicity of the design, but also based on the materials used. "The plastic is recyclable and the fabric of the cushion is not bonded, so it can be easily separated. Among other things, this ensures that the chair for
98% is recyclable."
At the Workspace Design Show, the PC-V14 will take center stage. Projectchair can be found at booth C15, next to the restrooms. In addition to this model, the company has much more to offer, including distribution of the Comfort brand, which introduced the Ergohuman 2 this summer.
