Klemko Techniek continues to develop and improve its LED lighting offering. In addition to luminaires, the focus here is on lighting controls and connection technology. The company was allowed to fully equip a villa at the Kalmthoutse Heide with lighting. Central to this was the ease of operation via Z-wave.
Danny Miac, account manager led lighting controls: "Creativity with led lighting is our number one priority. That's why we develop luminaires that are adaptable, to be able to change the atmosphere in a room as the function changes. This is possible, for example, with our new modular spotlights. They are round, square or rectangular and can be trimless concealed. The modular aspect is in the spotlights, fixtures and accessories, such as reflectors. These can be changed in white, gold or black. As a result, the same spotlight can still radiate a different atmosphere."
According to Miac, this has many advantages, for example, for offices. "Offices today are rapidly changing their function. Our LED lighting ensures that a fixture no longer needs to be changed, but that with a small adjustment the type of light can be provided, exactly suited to the moment. The reflectors allow themselves to be easily changed, so the installer can work faster, more efficiently and smarter."
All Lumiko lighting, part of Klemko Technology, is controllable with the well-known wireless Smart Home protocols, such as Zigbee, Z-wave, Casambi and Bluetooth. "The demand for controlling lighting via an app continues to grow. This way, attendance programs can be set and users can control their lighting remotely. This can save energy. However, there is much more to be gained. Consider, for example, outdoor lighting that, thanks to motion sensors, comes on only when it is needed, thus preventing light pollution."
For the owner of a villa at Kalmt-Houtse Heide, remote control of lighting was an important wish. Miac: "Guests are often present in the mansion, so it is nice that the owner can check whether the light is not left on unnecessarily. From front to back, we equipped the property with lighting. Here we used a lot of modular spotlights, this time with gold reflectors because of the warm look. On the wooden rafters, we installed Faro spotlights, which provide indirect lighting through the white ceiling. The whole has become very soothing and warm, with a luxurious look. Finally, all lighting is easily integrated into the client's home automation system with Z-wave. She was very pleasantly surprised by the result."
