BENELUX TROPHY FOR HOT DIP GALVANIZING 2023

We cordially invite you to enter your project for the BTTV Trophy 2023. With this competition, Zinkinfo Benelux wants to show a sample of applications of hot-dip galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing offers designers and their clients many advantages. Especially the long life and low maintenance are important assets of this preservation system. Moreover, designers appreciate the beautiful aging process of hot-dip galvanized steel which gives it that typical natural patina over the years. The closing date for registration is 31/01/2023.

Three categories

In line with the philosophy of SEATTLE ZINC the BTTV Trophy distinguishes between three categories:

- Functional galvanizing: 
The choice of discontinuous hot-dip galvanizing was motivated almost exclusively by the functional qualities of the hot-dip galvanizing layer. Longevity through optimal corrosion resistance and maintenance-free nature of hot-dip galvanizing were the deciding factors.

- Aesthetic galvanizing: 
In addition to the functional requirements, there were also aesthetic expectations/requirements that the hot-dip galvanized steel had to meet. The architect/client chose the typical patina of galvanized steel that blends perfectly with other materials and the environment.

–          Duplex
Galvanizing + coating (wet paint or powder)

In addition, across the 3 categories, the jury will award a Circular Building prize for a project in which the principles of circular construction were applied as consistently as possible.

Book BTTV

Zinkinfo Benelux will publish a book in which all projects participating in the Trophy will be included. In this way, a nice reference work which can be used as a marketing tool for all involved. This book will be printed on a large print run and widely distributed to clients, architects, engineering firms, steel erectors and contractors.

Social Media

Zinkinfo Benelux will feature all participating projects through its social media channels (Instagram, Linkedin, Facebook). In addition, all projects will appear on the Zinkinfo website under the category in which they are entered.

Jury

An independent jury selects the nominees and laureates and awards the prizes.
